1. matter - what something is made of; ingredients
2. molecules - tiny pieces
3. solid - molecules are tightly compacted; a solid will keep its shape
4. liquid - molecules are loosely next to each other; a liquid takes the shape of its container
5. gas - molecules go everywhere; a gas has no shape
6. physical change - the object will change how it looks, but is still made of the same material (ex. water/ice)
7. chemical chage - the object wil change how it looks and what it is made of (ex. metal/rust)
8. air - a gas that takes up space and is felt as wind
9. properties - using your senses (sight, smell, taste, touch, hearing) to give characteristics to an object
